Electives – Rules & Regulations

The Student affairs office will be your contact point with the College. They will provide you with an ID card and a log book. You must enter your daily activities in the log book. The instructions for using the log book are provided in it. If your College provided you with a set of objectives that you need to meet during your electives program you will need to show those to your mentor (i.e. the faculty member you are going to do your elective with).

The rules and regulation are designed to provide you with the best and trouble free experience as possible. For you to be recognized as an elective student you must wear your ID card that the student affairs office will provide you with on your arrival. This is the only way the security personnel can identify you and will allow you to move within the College and hospital premises.

You must wear a white coat at all times when you are in the College or the hospital. This is an essential requirement just like the ID card.

Although every effort would be made to make the elective an enjoyable experience, Shifa College of Medicine and Shifa International Hospital would not be held liable for any mishap, experience and events that may directly or indirectly, physically or emotionally impact you on or off the college, hostel, or hospital premises during the course of the elective.
