Waqas Anwaar is currently a lecturer at Shifa Tameer-e-Millat university. He is also working on medical related projects specifically in cardiology department at Shifa International Hospital, Islamabad. He has expertise in computer vision and deep learning models.

Previously, he received his Masters degree from Comsats University Islamabad with research focus on computer vision and machine learning. At present, he is PhD scholar in Biomedical engineering at Shenzhen University, Shenzhen, China. There he is working on 4d (3d+time) cardiac MRI spatiotemporal data by using image processing and deep learning techniques.

His research interest includes image segmentation, 3d image registration, medical image/video processing, CNNs, spatiotemporal models, LSTMs, autoencoders and data generators.
